Man City all-but end Liverpool’s title hopes by netting four second half goals at Anfield.
A dreary first half was made up for by a brilliant second half at Anfield. Ilkay Gundogan put City in front just after the break before Mo Salah equalised from the penalty spot.
But two monumental errors from Alisson gifted City two goals in just three minutes. Phil Foden then made it four via a superb strike inside the area.
Foden has finally been getting the opportunities he dearly deserves this campaign, and boy is he justifying Pep Guardiola’s decision to continually include him.
The Englishman had already played a starring role in the contest, but he wanted to cap off the performance with a goal – and what a goal he’s got for himself.
Foden cut in from the right, took on his marker and rocketed his effort above Alisson and into the roof of the net.
See the goal below.
