A number of Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to react to a post on twitter, which relayed a report that claims Juventus fans regret the sale of former star Joao Cancelo.
The Cityzens completed a deal with the Italian champions in 2019 for Cancelo, with the Serie A champions receiving a transfer fee of 28 millions and Danilo as part of the deal.
The 26 year old star struggled in his first season, but is now enjoying a fantastic season at the Etihad Stadium. Cancelo’s tactical adaptability has seen him shine for the Premier League leader.
Guardiola has devised a system that enables the technically gifted Cancelo to drift from full back into a deep-lying midfield role to supplement City attacks.
He has received a lot of praises from football fans with Rio Ferdinand saying watching him is a ‘fantastic new way’ of seeing a full-back play while Joleon Lescott says his absence would be the ‘most costly’ to City.
According to ilBianconero relayed by Juve FC, most Juventus fans on social media regret the transfer swap between Cancelo and Danilo.
The report adds that Although some of the supporters appreciate Danilo’s efforts in the current campaign, most believe that the Portuguese is on another level.
The Portuguese right-back has established himself as a regular in Guardiola’s starting XI and based on the quality of his performances, you can understand why.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Sky Blues have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
And why wouldn’t they regret it, we’ve absolutely pulled their pants down with that deal

Its mainly Pep who got Joao here so even if the “swap” did not happen,Joao would not be on this level at Juve rn.

What a bargain, the man is redefining the full back position but all the plaudits have to go to Pep, he redefined goalkeepers as well, what a coach
