Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian striker, who has been heavily linked with a move to Etihad, is one of Europe’s hottest properties and his performance in its biggest competition this year could influence his next step.
Despite moving to Borussia Dortmund just twelve months ago, every major European club has him on their radar and will try to win the race for his signature as soon as possible.
Haaland has a release clause of €75m in his contract with Dortmund, but that only comes into play in the summer of 2022, when the Norwegian will have developed further and there’s more rivals for the deal.
According to his agent Mino Raiola via BBC Sport, only a few clubs in Europe are on the shortlist of those who can afford the superstar.
“Only a maximum of 10 clubs can afford to buy [Erling Haaland] and give the platform you would like after you’ve been in Borussia Dortmund – and four of those clubs are in [England],” he told BBC.
In reaction to this Raiola’s claim shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
I think he’s been over optimistic about 10. He should have said “at least on paper 10 clubs can afford Haaland”.

We won’t be chasing him and if he wants to play for city, he would dropped raiola.

Raiola is going to throw those English teams into bidding wars. Luckily Man City dont do bidding wars. Count them out
