Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club will not be bringing Diego Costa despite being available on a free agent.
The former Spain and Chelsea striker’s contract was terminated by Atletico Madrid last month due to personal reasons, six months before it was scheduled. Prior to that, Diego endured a tough spell at Los Rojiblancos, scoring just 19 goals in the last three years in all competitions.
Considering Manchester City’s crisis upfront and With Costa in the market as a free agent, many fans including English pundit Micah Richards expected the club to bring the £10m rated striker in on a short-term deal.
According to BBC reporter Simon Stone, Manchester City will not be bringing Diego Costa, who has been on the lookout for a new club since, with Wolverhampton Wanderers one Premier League to have shown interest.
City are currently first, three points clear of bitter rivals Manchester United with a game in hand in the Premier League. The Cityzens, who have the division’s best defensive record, have scored the fewest in the top five. Signing Costa could have definitely been a boost in the attacking department.
With the January transfer window coming to an end, City will not make any additions to their squad after previous links to Edin Dzeko and David Alaba were also ruled out.
In reaction to the report shared on twitter by Man City Xtra and City Chief, plenty of Sky Blues have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Good, never wanted him anyway. He'd get sent off multiple times for us if he came. Wish we could've accepted the short term deal for Dzeko instead.
