Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another on Eric Garcia’s potential move to Barcelona.
The 20-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract at the Etihad Stadium, has indicated a desire to move and been heavily linked with a return to boyhood club Barcelona.
The Spaniard has refused to extend his contract at the Etihad and could leave Manchester in the current window for a transfer fee or leave next summer on a free transfer.
The Mundo Deportivo early this week reported that City have agreed to lower their fee and accept a €5 million sum for Eric Garcia to make the move to Barcelona this month.
Pep Guardiola has revealed that he is hoping Barcelona target Eric Garcia will not leave the club in the ongoing transfer window, but admits he is unsure about the player’s immediate future.
Asked if that might happen, City boss Guardiola said: “I hope not but maybe the people from Barcelona know more than me. I don’t know what is going to happen but maybe it is going to happen.”
Despite claims that Pep Guardiola does not want the defender to leave the club this transfer window, Fabrizio Romano claims that he is in fact set to seal a deal to join Barcelona.
Garcia is at least back in contention to play against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday after returning to training following a spell in isolation with coronavirus.
In reaction to the news shared on Twitter, Man City fans who want this Garcia saga to be over have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

I feel it’s the opposite.

If Barcelona paid for him (5M at least), they will get him.
But many sources confirm that Barcelona want him for free.
Downgraded to a smaller club, we don’t want him anyway he’s 4th choice.

Am I the only City fan that has zero hate towards Eric Garcia? The kid stepped up when needed and played extremely well for us. Will always wish the best for him.
