Sergio Aguero looks set to miss Manchester City’s next two Premier League matches after going into self-isolation under coronavirus protocols.
The Argentinian was set for just his fourth start of the season in Sunday’s third-round clash as he looks to put the after-effects of meniscus surgery behind him
Pep Guardiola confirmed that someone close to Aguero had tested positive for Covid-19 and the striker was forced to quarantine despite testing negative.
“Unfortunately Sergio was in contact, more than usual, with a person who is positive so he isolates for a few days,” Guardiola said after Sunday’s 3-0 win over Birmingham in the FA Cup.
City face Brighton, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa at home in the Premier League over the next 10 days with Aguero now a doubt for at least the first two of those fixtures.
In reaction to the news shared on Twitter by City Chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

I wonder if he will play another 10 games this season (all comps).

the good thing is we not that dependant on him too much if this 2014/2015 season we’re dusted

I would rather him not play in these matches in which we can win without him and risk him re-injuring himself etc, and just have him back 110 percent ready to go for the important matches in prem, and ucl. we need him. we need a clinical, goal hungry striker to win the ucl.
