Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on Sergio Aguero contract situation at the Etihad.
The City’s all-time record goalscorer is under contract until June 2021, but can negotiate with foreign clubs in January with less than six months left on his deal.
With the 32-year-old’s current deal at the Etihad due to expire next June, his future has been the subject of speculation recently, with Inter Milan reportedly interested in signing the strike.
According to David Ornstein of the Athletic, Manchester City are yet to make an approach to renew the contract of Sergio Aguero at the club.
The report adds that the legendary Premier League forward ‘loves it’ at the Etihad, and would ‘really like’ to extend further – a view shared by ‘many’ at the top of the club.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Aguero needs to move on. The game at the level we need him has passed him.

I love the guy but I’m not sure how you can justify 200K+ p/w on a player who can’t stay fit, no matter his legendary status, to make fans happy. If he stays fit and starts performing again then yes, deffo. Until that, it’s wise to wait and see on it imo.

He needs to take a pay cut to stay. Modric just took a pay cut to extend his stay at real Madrid

If he wants to stay than give him the contract he deserves but if he doesn’t then there is no point in trying to convince him he’s been a great server for us let him go and get haaland as our replacement

I just can’t think of a day when Aguero will play his last match for city 😐🥺.
