Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is prepared to make an offer of €100 million for Tottenham star, Harry Kane.
City’s striker injury crisis is a hot topic for debate this season. With both Sergio Agüero and Gabriel Jesus out for multiple weeks at the least, Guardiola was forced into a difficult decision at arguably the most important position on the pitch.
A new striker has been on the agenda for the club for a long time and City are expected to go into the next transfer markets ready to spend big on a striker following their poor start of the season.
According to SportBild’s Head of Football Christian Falk, Manchester City are sensationally planning to table an offer of €100m (£89m) for Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane.
The 27-year-old has been consistently among the Premier League’s top scorers since breaking into the Tottenham first team in 2014/15 season, winning the Golden Boot on two occasions.
He has already contributed 16 goals and 13 assists for Jose Mourinho’s side this season as he continue to enjoy a a formidable partnership with Heung-Min Son.
Kane is currently seventh in the goal-scoring charts, just four strikers behind Mo Salah in first place. However, the Spurs striker also tops the standings for assists this season, already registering ten in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola’s side want a quality striker to succeed legendary Argentine hitman Sergio Aguero, and they have also been linked with Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
Aguero has had a long and illustrious career in Manchester but is 32 years old and has become increasingly injury prone.
Landing a top finisher is necessary if the Citizens want to start strongly challenging for the title and Champions League again, and landing Kane will no doubt boost our chances of winning silverware this season.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra and City Chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
I’ll take him but rather haaland.

LOL. A joke hopefully. He’ll be 28 by then, he’s slow. Everyone knows Haaland will come at some point.

Good signing …

Better on the ball player than Halaand. 👍🔝
I will pay this price for Håland 🇳🇴. Is the only one striker should come to City.

Harry Kane’s great but future solution is always gonna be Haaland. Wouldn’t mind Kane at City but Haaland to city is inevitable

I’d take him, we need someone who can finish and we’re always crossing into the box so it’s worth having someone who can head the ball, he can finish, scores pens which is what we need and he’s really good at passing as well. Spurs won’t sell him for less than 200 mil though

Rather €100 million for Haaland ..
