Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club is among long list of major European clubs ‘closely following’ the situation of Erling Braut Haaland.
City have been linked with prolific striker Haaland in recent weeks, potentially as a replacement for Sergio Aguero, with the Argentine star approaching the end of his career.
Haaland is the son of former City star Alf-Inge and pictures circulated on social media of the striker wearing a City shirt prior to his move to Dortmund.
The 20-year-old is one of the most in-form forwards in world football with a host of clubs believed to be interested in signing him next year.
According to Fabrizio Romano via his podcast herewego, Barcelona, Manchester United, Manchester City, PSG, and Juventus are all “following so close” the situation of Erling Haaland and his release clause at Borussia Dortmund.
Earlier reports from Germany have claimed that Haaland has a release clause in his contract worth €70m that will become active in the summer of 2022. However, City aren’t prepared to wait and would like to discuss terms with Dortmund next summer, hoping the Germans will settle for a €100m transfer fee.
it remains unlikely that Dortmund would want to sell their prized asset with an impressive 33 goals in just 32 appearances for the German side.

Txiki better pay no matter how much Dortmund and Raiola wants!
If Txiki needs more money for this transfer, City can sell Zinchenko, Garcia, Angelino, Harrison, Patrick Roberts, Yokohama Marinos, Melbourne FC, Troyes, and that damn Girona.— Bang Jack (@zakiimza) December 1, 2020
The sad truth is city won’t get him. I don’t trust Txiki to get this deal done at all cost.
