Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on Sergio Aguero contract situation at the Etihad.
The 32-year-old forward is under contract until June 2021, but can negotiate with foreign clubs in January with less than six months left on his deal. With the 32-year-old’s current deal at the Etihad due to expire next June, his future has been the subject of speculation recently, with Inter Milan reportedly interested in signing the strike.
According Fabrizio Romano on the Here We Go podcast, Aguero’s future is very much up to him, as City would love to keep the City’s all-time record goalscorer at the club past his current deal.
He said: “He has not decided yet. It’s up to him. Manchester City are saying, ‘Let us know what you want to do and then we [will] decide together,’ but the first decision is for the player. So, it’s up to Sergio Aguero to decide if he wants to stay, if he feels like, ‘I want to be part of this project.’
“He has to tell the club if he wants really to be part again of this project, or if he wants to try something different in La Liga or in another country. So, it’s up to Aguero. They are waiting, but I think in some weeks, in January, we will understand more about the situation, because obviously, Manchester City have to plan for their strikers for next season.”

It is not about he didn’t decide. It is about the club didn’t call him yet…

Well, he needs to prove he can stay fit for second half of the season, there’s no doubt about his quality. Him staying/leaving also depends on if/when Haaland comes in.
