Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Mikel Arteta has asked the club to keep him updated on the availability of John Stones.
The Gunners have been linked with Stones before, with the Sun among the outlets to report on their interest in him in recent times
Eurosport journalist Dean Jones last week reported that John Stones is continuing to be monitored by Arsenal and a number of Premier League clubs.
According to 90min, Arsenal have asked City to keep them informed over Stones’ availability as they step up their interest in bringing him to the Emirates Stadium.
The reports claims Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, formerly of City’s coaching staff, is a big fan of the player and feels he could still be one of the finest centre-backs in Europe.
Stones has had limited opportunities under Pep Guardiola over the past few seasons having fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad, but recently has impressed after been handed an opportunity by the City boss in the starting XI
Stones’s surprising comeback to City’s starting lineup has taken everyone by shock. His impressive performances for all 4 of his games have managed to displace Aymeric Laporte from City’s defense.
City will have to make a decision on Stones’ future sooner rather than later, with the defender’s contract set to run out in 18 months’ time.

Let him look elsewhere. Stones has shown no reproach when he has been left in the substitute bench. He is currently showing improvement and should continue.
