Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims the club is set to complete their second signing of the January transfer window with the purchase of Gremio midfielder Diego Rosa.
The Premier league club are adding another Brazilian to their ranks after securing Yan Couto from Coritiba FC for £5 million to their roster for the 2020/21 campaign, with the exciting right-back now on loan at City sister club Girona in Spain.
According to a report from Sport Witness, Grêmio will ‘soon sign officially’ a five-year deal with the City Football Group.
The report adds that the midfielder will be at Lommel S.K. for the next 18 months from the start of January, and then move to another club owned by CFG.
A seperate report from Manchester Evening News adds that the 18 year old is set to join the Blues in the January transfer window, that will see the Citizens pay an initial fee of around £5.2m with the potential for it to rise all the way to £23m should he make the first team.
Diego Rosa confirmed he is leaving the club on social media, ahead of a move to the City Football Group.
Writing on social media, the 18 year old teenager said: “It’s time to say goodbye. Gratitude and huge affection for this club that welcomed me so much. I move on to new challenges, but my big thanks go to the institution, athletes and employees. Thank you Gremista fans, it was an honour.”
