Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims the club is more focused on signing Borussia Monchengladbach star Denis Zakaria when it comes to central midfielder recruits.
The 23-year-old has impressed in his three seasons in the Bundesliga with Gladbach which have caught the eye of several of the top six and is also a regular for the Switzerland national side.
Just a few weeks ago, a reputable journalist Christian Falk via German outlet Sport Bild had claimed City were ‘preparing’ an offer worth €40m for the defensive midfielder.
According to Fabrizio Romano on the latest episode of his Here We Go Podcast relayed by Sport Illustrated, Manchester City are more focused on Denis Zakaria rather than previously reported target Ismaël Bennacer.
The report claims that Zakaria is appreciated by the board, and they are in contact with his agent. But however, no advanced talk have been made.
