Manchester City fans were impressed with Joao Cancelo’s brilliant performance in the 1-0 win over Sheffield United in the premier Leaque on saturday.

City picked up their third win of the season after Kyle walker’s first-half goal was enough to move the Blues up the Premier League table.

Cancelo is fast-becoming the key City defender ahead of their fixture swing in Gameweek 10. Since making his first Premier League start at that position in Gameweek 5, Cancelo is yet to blank, averaging seven points per game.

This is Possibly his best performance this season from left-back. He was excellent going forward but also committed in defence whenever he was targeted. Could have rated higher but his game started to wane deep into the match.

In the first half alone against the Blades, Cancelo created more chances than any Manchester City defender in a Premier League match since February 2012.

City will probably need Joao Cancelo as cover in both full-back positions over the next few weeks, especially with Benjamin Mendy’s latest setback.
