Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays report of the club’s interest in Palmeiras youngster Gabriel Veron.
Veron caught the attention of world football with his intensity and hunger to score goals in the Under-17 World Cup last year in Brazil.
According to Calciomercato.it via Sport Witness, City are one of seven clubs to have all taken an interest in the 18-year-old.
The report adds that no club has made a firm bid or opened ‘official negotiations’ but Palmeiras ‘leadership’ have confirmed interest and ‘polls’ regarding the player.
Veron bagged his first goal in the Copa Libertadores, is considered ‘as one of the best’ at the Brazilian club.
Veron recently signed his first professional contract with the Brazilian club that runs until 2025. The new contract contains a €60m release clause.
