Ruben Dias could make his Manchester City debut against Leeds as the Citizens travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United for their fifth appearance of the new season.
The Premier League campaign has not gone as planned for Pep Guardiola, with last weekend’s home thumping at the hands of Leicester City still very much fresh in everyone’s mind.
Guardiola has not yet decided whether to give Ruben Dias his debut against Leeds United.
“He trained twice, yesterday and today,” said Guardiola during Friday’s press conference.
“He’s settled good. He is part of the team, we have a training session this afternoon and then we will decide.”
There is so much riding on the Ruben Dias arriving from Benfica for £65m. They have never replaced Vincent Kompany and he has to fill that kind of stature.
City will be without Ilkay Gundogan, Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, John Stones and Oleksandr Zinchenko for the trip to Elland Road. New signing Ruben Dias is available, however, and could make his City debut.

Should Ruben Dias start tomorrow or is it too early?
Many Man City fans on twitter have been expressing their thoughts and opinions on whether new signing Ruben Dias can start against Leeds United tomorrow.
Definitely start, and he’s been playing so he’s definitely match fit and ready

Absolutely 💯
Even Mangala started as soon as he joined, that too against Chelsea— Banman Lyngdoh (@banmancity) October 2, 2020
He should start alongside Laporte

Good. None of this “oh he hasn’t trained enough” or “not tactically ready yet”. I want to see him thrown in the deep end, we need him AND laporte

Anyone in their right mind would start him

If he’s fit and ready then no reason not to start him. He’s already played for Benfica so no reason not to start him.

As a fan I want him to start but deep down I know it’s a bit too soon, especially with how good Leeds are.. If we were playing Fulham I’d say yes he should definitely start.

Why wouldn’t he start? He’s trained with us he’s match fit since he literally just played with benfica and he’s easily already our best center half in his side. Without even a question of course he should start
