Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays claim by Pep Guardiola that Oleksandr Zinchenko is set to stay at the club despite rumours of a departure.
Over the last few weeks, it’s been heavily reported that Oleksandr Zinchenko could move to Barcelona before the current transfer window close. But Pep Guardiola has confirmed that the player is here to stay.
Speaking in his press conference, Pep Guardiola confirmed the left-back could be out for around ‘2-3′ weeks as he has picked up an injury again.
“Yesterday or two days ago, he [Zinchenko] was injured again. He was recovered, but he got injured again and is out for two or three weeks,” he said.
With the Ukrainian player injured, that has scupper City’ hopes for a new left-back which has been the Citizens’ Problem Position.
The Telegraph reported that City are looking to bring in either David Alaba or Nicolas Tagliafico to strengthen their left-back options, but only if Zinchenko leaves the club first.
