Alan Shearer expect only Manchester City to compete for the Premier League title despite their disappointing start to their campaign.
Following an unpredictable start to the season some believe the Premier League could have a shock winner, with the likes of Everton, Aston Villa and Leicester starting strongly.
The the Citizens have had a difficult start to the season but Shearer still believe they are the only club to be challenging Liverpool for the tittle this season.
Speaking to the Athletic, the former Newcastle United striker argued that there will be a more intense race for the top four and Champions League qualification than there will be for the title.
“As I sit here, I don’t see anyone other than Liverpool or Man City for the title,” Shearer said.
“What I do see as an exciting race this season is the battle for the top four. I think it will be more intense than ever.

“Mikel Arteta has made a great start at Arsenal. He’s got a clear philosophy. That club needed changing and he hasn’t just gone about it slowly.
