Man City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update of Sevilla centre-back Jules Koundé‘s potential move to the Etihad.
With less than two weeks of the transfer window to go, City are still working on adding to their two signings of Ferran Torres and Nathan Ake before the October 5 deadline.
The Frenchman who has been the club’s back-up defensive target, is regarded as one of the best defenders for his age group.
He enjoyed a stellar 2019/20 season in La Liga, making 29 appearances as his side comfortably finished in the top four.
City expect to complete the signing of Jules Koundé following Thursday’s Super Cup clash between with Bayern Munich, reports Spanish football writer Nacho Jiménez,
According to Marca, City are now ready to launch a new attempt to sign Jules Koundé and the initial bid of €50M plus €5M in bonuses will ‘rise significantly’.
The report claims Txiki Begiristain is ‘in love’ with the player and Pep Guardiola ‘seems to be clear’ that they should ‘not miss this opportunity’.
The young Frenchman Kounde would certainly be viewed as a prospect for the future with his natural defensive talent coupled with blistering pace for a central defender.
Could Jules Kounde be the man to finally replace Vincent Kompany at the heart of Manchester City’s defence.
