Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on Lionel Messi’s potential move to the Etihad.
The idea of one of football’s greatest ever players making the switch to Manchester City is becoming more and more of a reality.
The three clubs mentioned so far keen on Messi’s signature have been City, PSG and Inter Milan, But it’s City who are seen as major favourites by reliable Spanish journalists.
According to RAC1 via Mundo Deportivo, Lionel Messi has made it clear that the only manager he wants to work with at City is Pep Guardiola.
There have been several claims that Messi has been in touch with the Catalan manager, so it’d be no surprise that he wants to be sure that he’ll be coached by him in England.
Regardless of all the speculation over where Lionel Messi could ultimately end up, there’s only two realistic outcomes: he’ll either stay at a Bartomeu-less Barca, or go to the Etihad.
This Messi bombshell Barcelona announcement has left Man City fans dreaming already.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, Many City supporters have flocked to expressed their thoughts and opinions on this latest update
Honestly I believe Messi is the only thing which might “force” Pep to stay at the club. If not, then I’m sure Pep’s gone by next summer— Real Talk Manchester City ⚽️ (@RealTalkMCFC) August 26, 2020
When you’re this good, he gets to especially in negotiations because we have to entice him here. Plus I’m all for it if Pep stays, Messi and De Bruyne in his prime.— Peyton (@Cityallthewayy) August 26, 2020
Pep extending until Messi retires 🙌🏼— Andy Whittle (@AndyWhittl3) August 26, 2020
No messi and pep just bum each other— michail (@markhenryjnr) August 26, 2020
If does sort his issues about contract out, then it’s pretty much City or no one.— Nihad Nəsirov (@nihad267) August 26, 2020
