Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that the Citizens are ready to launch a new bid for Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
It’s no secret the 29-year-old, who is considered one of the world’s best centre-backs is top of City’s wanted list in the centre-back department.
The Citizens recently completed the signing of Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake but are believed to still be interested in Koulibaly to finally bring in the leadership skills City lost when Vincent Kompany left the club.
The Citizens have been negotiating with Napoli for several weeks over their asking price, with Aurelio de Laurentiis looking to make at least €90m after turning down €100m last summer.
It is understood City had offer as much as £63m, leaving the two clubs far apart in terms of the final fee.
According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the Citizens are getting the paperwork ready for a new and improved proposal over the next few days to sign the former Genk man.
It’s not clear yet what that will be, but he claims the Napoli asking price has in turn dropped to €70-73m plus performance-related bonuses.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City xtra and City Chief, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
