Former English professional footballer Trevor Lloyd Sinclair has urged Manchester City on Twitter to make a move for Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
Messi has been linked with a move to the Etihad in the past, but the club has never made a genuine attempt to sign him – acknowledging his unique bond with the Catalans.
There were already reports of the Argentine doing the unthinkable and leaving Barcelona at the end of this contract, which expires in the summer of 2021.
More reports emerged concerning Messi’s future after Barcelona’s humiliating defeat as they lost 8-2 to Bayern Munich in their Champions League quarter-final.
According to Cope, Messi will leave next summer if there aren’t big changes at the club.
Perturbed by the Barcelona’s dip in numbers coupled with the heavy defeat to Bayern Munich, Trevor Lloyd took to Twitter calling for Txiki Begiristain, City director of football to rescue the the Argentine forward.

At the age of 33, Messi still produced a very impressive individual season with 25 goals and 21 assists in his 33 La Liga appearances.
