Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that the Citizens are set to open fresh contract talks with defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
The Nigerian center back returned to his parent club following the end of his loan spell at EFL Championship club Blackburn Rovers.
The 22-year-old Anglo-Nigerian during his time at Blackburn Rovers made 35 appearances while scoring three goals and providing one assist.
According to the Lancashire Telegraph via Sport Illustrated, Manchester City impressed with Tosin’s performance while on loan, are set to open contract talks with the defender.
A new contract would allow the Manchester-born defender to potentially go back out on loan as he is still unlikely to feature in City’s first team, with Eric Garcia being the youth prospect favoured more by Pep Guardiola.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
Please, give him a chance. We don’t have too many own lads in City’s first team…— unnaH elapiaT (@UnnahElapiat) July 29, 2020
It would be great if Tosin got a chance to show his worth at City. He has grown up with the club and could save us a packet if he keeps on developing the way he has done.— Mark Francis (@mark_franny) July 29, 2020
This lads attitude is outstanding. He has regularly done interviews about how his dream is to be Citys captains one day.
He has worked his arse off on his loan at Blackburn to show his talent. Why would anybody not want to give him a chance? 🤔— Bert🕵️♂️ (@feedthegoat2) July 29, 2020
Hope so. He’s like Foden in respect of been at the club since he was 8 and he’s a city fan. I remember seeing an interview with him and his said his goal is to be city Captain— Dawnekinns (@Harrison4Dawn) July 29, 2020
