Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on Sevilla star Diego Carlos’s potential move to the Etihad.

Diego Carlos is one of the defender strongly linked with a move to the Etihad amongst José Giménez, Upamecano, Milan Skriniar, Nathan Ake and Kalidou Koulibaly in recent weeks, as Pep Guardiola looks to sign a new centre-back at the end of the season.

City’s need for a centre-half is a priority this summer, after the problems encountered in the wake of Vincent Kompany’s retirement this summer.

According AS via Sport_Witness, City and Liverpool have “appeared” as suitors for the Brazilian, who has a €75m release clause in his contract.

The Report state City will have “enough money” at their disposal to complete a deal and are therefore better positioned than Liverpool.

Carlos, who was from French club Nantes for a reported £13.5 million last summer, has established himself as one of La Liga’s best-performing centre-backs, registering 15 assists in 34 league appearances. Perhaps more importantly for Pep Guardiola, Carlos has averaged a pass success rate of 84.2% across the league campaign.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief and Man City Xtra, City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

“60m is way too much for him but I’ve seen him played a couple of times this season and he plays exactly like VVD…no exageration”, claimed one fan.

while another asked, “I thought he was 75 mill. Isn’t Koulibaly only 5 more mill more?”

while another tweeted, “If we’re gonna Pay £60mil for Diego Carlos, just Pay £70mil for Koulibaly please”

Another tweet said: “I think at this rate we will have been linked to 9-10 defenders within the next couple of weeks”
