Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report the Citizens are ‘interested’ in on-loan Barcelona attacking midfielder Phillippe Coutinho.
Barcelona have made the Brazil international available on loan once again this summer after Bayern Munich indicated that they are unwilling to make his temporary deal permanent at the end of the Bundesliga season.
According to an exclusive report by French outlet Le10Sport, Manchester City is interested in Philippe Coutinho – an interest sparked by Pep Guardiola himself, who admires the Barcelona attacking midfielder
The report goes on to suggest that Coutinho’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, has meetings ‘scheduled in the coming days’, although it is not stated whether one of those meetings involves personnel from Manchester City.
Although a route to the Etihad Stadium is ‘not yet fully active’, Pep Guardiola knows that things will change in the coming weeks with departures being anticipated involving the likes of Leroy Sane.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City xtra and City Chief, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions

“I would love this move to happen. If anyone can revive Coutinho, It’s Pep” claimed one fan.
while another asked, “this is why i hate transfer season, constant bs after constant bs we’ve been ” linked” with about 50 players in the past week”.
Another tweet said: “Well he has been so good in EPL. Given if sane leaves we can actually go for him”.
hashem @hashem69543373 tweet said”This source earlier today said that liverpool offered barca 14 m to loan him a season with an option to buy for 50 m or something and now saying man city wants him it can be a way to accelerate the negotiations between Liverpool and barca..
Would you like Coutinho at City?
It will be interesting to see how this one develops over the coming weeks and months. Coutinho will be a good addition knowing Silva and Sane are going…but city need more than just attack minded players.
