Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that the club is interested in signing Spanish international Sergi Roberto
Guardiola’s desire to recruit defensive reinforcements is well known, and talk of a move for Roberto comes at a time when the club are also showing in Semedo.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the English champions have made Barcelona aware of their interest in the player.
The report claims that City made Barca aware of their interest when the two clubs were discussing a potential swap for Nelson Semedo and Joao Cancelo.
The Spaniard will leave Catalonia only if Pep Guardiola, the coach who gave Roberto his senior debut, convinces Sergi that he counts on him as an important team member.
The 28-year-old’s current deal with the Spanish champions is due to expire in two years, and Juventus have recently been credited with an interest in his services.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by Man City Xtra and City Chief on Twitter, City fans have flocked to share their opinions on the transfer rumours.
