Manchester City fans have been reacting to a report that Bayern Munich have reportedly made a £35million bid for Leroy Sane after agreeing terms with the Manchester City winger on a five-year deal.
Sane’s future at the Etihad has been uncertain for more than a year. The German winger, who has been struggling with injuries for much of the campaign, has been linked with a return to his homeland.
According to the German publication Sport Bild, Bayern Munich have not only reached an agreement with Leroy Sane, but have also begun negotiating a fee with Manchester City. The Bundesliga side have ‘deposited’ a sum of €40 million which will act as a basis for these negotiations, but will aim to keep the final fee below €60 million – almost half of what City were valuing the winger at last summer.
Many City supporters have flocked to discuss this latest update on Sane – with Some fans relieved to hear of the news that this year-long saga could be on the verge of meeting it’s conclusion
Couldn’t give a toss right now, frankly.

If he doesn’t want to be here let him go, simple
— Andy Sutcliffe (@andysut12) May 5, 2020
I’d rather have him rot on the bench than be sold at a discounted price to Bayern. If they want him bad enough wait til they can get him in a free. Then see how big a contract they’re willing to offer him when he hasn’t played a competitive game in over 2 seasons

Why isn’t sane doing anything about this? Just seems like a kick in balls
— Lewis KP (@LewisK_96) May 5, 2020
I’d make him see out his contract and let him go for nothing in a year rather than accept a derisery offer

Honestly, someone should be sacked when sané leaves

If true, £40M for Sane would be simply insulting!
But nothing more than we would expect from the Bayern / SportBilge combo by now…
Am hoping City take a very strong stance on Sane.

£40m? May as well keep him and let him play out his contract. When he is on a free perhaps Barca or Real Madrid may be able to afford his terms

Let him off, great player but never hold onto players that want to leave, now lets just move on..plesse
— James Cottrell (@james_ctid) May 5, 2020
This is sadden, i am actually worried about who to replace him with.

This guy should leave city immediately… no need to create fuss , its his wish n club respects it. Waiting for a good cheap replacement.

Wtf, terrible decision. City will regret not doing their best to hold on to Sane.
— Arjun Sharad (@thearjunsharad) May 5, 2020
City offered him 200k a week Bayern are offering 20 mil a year I believe. We aren’t going to match that and break the whole structure

According toManchester Evening News, City do not expect to sell Leroy Sane for anywhere near as low as £35m this summer.
City’s stance has not changed from then in the sense that they would like the player to stay and a new contract offer remains on the table, but accept that it is up to the player and Pep Guardiola does not want to keep stars that would rather be elsewhere.
