Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has put Europe’s top clubs on red alert after stalling on his contract renewal talks with Barcelona.
Ter Stegen’s current contract expires in 2022, and it’s claimed the club would be forced to sell the keeper if a new contract isn’t agreed, rather than risk losing him on a free.
According to Spanish publication Sport, there is a lot of interest in Ter Stegen from Manchester City, who tried to sign the German back in 2016.
Pep Guardiola’s side already have an outstanding keeper in Ederson, but the Spaniard is believed to be an enormous fan of Ter Stegen and his ability to play with his feet in particular.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
No way he replaces Ederson. Quality keeper though.

We don’t need a keeper, he’s fantastic what a player but I’m happy with Eddie and I’m pretty sure he’s happy at Barça so this story seems fake af
