Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Celtic have made a new approach to take Patrick Roberts on a permanent basis back to Scotland
Manchester City signed Roberts from Fulham for a fee in the region of £12m back in 2015. The 23-year-old has made only three appearances for Man City and has mostly played on loan to Celtic, Girona, Norwich City and Middlesbrough.
According Team Talk, Celtic have made an approach for Roberts’ services but that Man City are unsure what they plan to do with the 23-year-old. The quoted fee of £3m would be a steal for Celtic and given Manchester City’s UEFA dispute, they may wanting to be seen to be selling players.
The report further say city have rejected an offer from the Bhoys as they want to see if he can be a success for them. Injuries have curtailed Roberts’s progress in recent years
