£100 million Newcastle United player who has over the past few years become one of the best in his position in the Premier League finally opened up about his future.
The Newcastle midfielder, Bruno Guimaraes, has been linked to many top Premier League teams, including Man City and Arsenal. He, however, claimed that he’s very happy at his present club, although he would not rule out any potential transfer deal.
Last campaign, the Brazilian scored seven goals and provided 10 assists in 50 games across competitions for the Magpies as he continued his impressive form since he arrived in the club from Olympique Lyon.
According to transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder whose current contract expires in 2028 insisted that even though he would rule out any possibility of joining another clubs this summer, the truth remains that he is very happy and satisfied as a Newcastle player.
“My future? I’m under contract at Newcastle, I’m very happy. I don’t know what’s gonna happen with Financial Fair Play, but I can say I’m very happy,” he said, according to Sportskeeda.
“It’s nice to see my name linked with big clubs, it means I’m doing my job well… but I’m not worried — I’m happy at Newcastle. We will see what happens.”
Pep Guardiola Determined To Get A Backup For Rodri
The Manchester City boss will undoubtedly buy a midfielder to serve as a backup for Rodri. The Spanish midfielder could be described as the most influential Man City player, especially without a direct replacement within the squad.
Should Bruno Guimaraes decides to stay with the Magpies, the Cityzens will likely look elsewhere to solve their midfield problem. The Premier League champions have been linked to many other alternatives including the Bayern Munich experienced midfielder, Joshua Kimmich.
Pep Guardiola signed Kimmich from RB Leipzig in 2015 when he was at Bayern Munich and could reunite with him at Manchester City this summer.
